OMG! This restaurant is the bomb.com ! The carrot curry soup was unbelievable. You could taste the intrinsic flavor of the carrot among the wonderful flavor of curry. The steak was perfectly cooked with subtle flavors in the sauce. The mashed potatoes were so creamy and the root veggies divine. The plate is a masterpiece to look at as well as to devour. Paired with a beautiful bottle of wine, dinner was unparalleled to any nearby. It is worth staying home a few nights to save up for a dinner this magical.

I'm afraid that Vestige is the reason I do not have many other 5 star reviews because I feel that a 5 star would equate the meal with the experience that is Vestige. I'm not a well versed foodie- I enjoy tasty food but , in reality, Mississippi doesn't offer the plethora of dining opportunities that are present in other areas. Eating at Vestige is like a theme park for the taste buds. I eagerly anticipate every new bite not knowing exactly what is coming due to the ever changing menu. Even the butter for the home baked bread- which this time contained orange zest- is always something new and exciting. I love that they locally source their produce, meats and seafood while preparing them in a way that seems exotic to the MS Gulf Coast. The food varies by season but they almost always offer various versions of a Berkshire pork chop, fresh fish and steak- all of which are great. My favorite is the pork chop. It's a far cry from the thin sliced, dried out, and fried to a crisp version that we Southerners are accustomed to. Vestige serves you a chop that's about 2 inches thick, so moist you can cut it with a fork and surrounded by seasonal sauces that tantalize your taste buds. My favorite small plate is the scallop dish. The scallops are huge, juicy and cooked to perfection. The food is complimented by a relaxing and chic atmosphere with stellar customer service. If you want a dining experience like none other on the Gulf Coast and everything you'd expect from a trendy restaurant in a big city... But with Southern hospitality... Go to Vestige!

Decent food but 'not quite there'. Service was decent. Food portions were small. Limited menu. Quality of dish I had was mediocre. Server was attentive but not exemplary. Maybe they are still ramping up but based on the other ratings on here that I depended on, either I went on an 'off' night or the restaurant is doing their own high ratings. A really long shot from the high quality of the nearby Phoenician and The Manhattan.

The food was superb, farm to table exactly what I was looking for. The service a little smothering. Teal napkins and servers faded white shirts outdated.

Chef Alex, his lovely wife Kumi, and their talented crew never disappoint. Their dishes are sophisticated, flavorful, and beautiful, and their small but carefully crafted menu, full of fresh and local fare, has something to please any palate. Even their drink selections tell a well planned story, infused with passion, creativity, and rich flavor. You won't find a single can in their kitchen. Everything is farm to table and handcrafted just for you. You'll pay a little more for such quality and care. Their main dishes range around $25 each, with small dishes around $10-$12. But trust me, they're worth every penny, and you'll be back to find out what else Chef Alex has up his sleeve.

Best food in Ocean Springs and in the top few for Biloxi. Good drinks too, just be prepared to wait. It's best to get a bottle of wine and relax. You're not going anywhere for a while. The salted caramel popcorn brûlée is unreal. Do it. Despite the wait, this is a regular spot for me.

I have been a supporter of Vestige from the very beginning, even getting to attend their soft opening and special events. Let me tell you that this little treasure of Ocean Springs just gets better and better. From their normal menu nights to the special evenings of Japanese cuisine and other themed events, the attention to detail is impeccable. Their front and back of house teams work extremely hard to allow the guests a thoroughly enjoyable meal, each and every time. If there ever is any foible, you can rest assured that the staff is going to rectify the problem promptly because they truly care that your experience is the best it can possibly be. Each time I've dined at Vestige I feel I have experienced something new and exciting that I hadn't seen them do before. With the ever changing menu, Chef Alex gets more refined with each incarnation of the plates offered. I've had some of the most melt in your mouth scallops I've ever had, the most velvety chicken velouté, the most tender, fall off the bone duck confit. The choices are endless as what to praise. They are regulars of the local farmers market; which translates to the guest being able to always feel and taste the freshness of product. This parlays into the love and pride put into letting each ingredient shine to its greatest potential. If you haven't already, you really owe it to yourself to experience Vestige, the best restaurant in Ocean Springs.

Elegant meal, beautiful presentation from appetizer to dessert, fine dining in Ocean Springs. White table cloths, but guests in shorts, flip flops. Attentive service with reasonable prices. Several menu items reflecting Southern Mississippi with classy twist. If you like a leisurely meal of delicious food well-prepared and beautifully presented, as well as atmosphere for quiet conversation, this is a MUST. Not recommended for small children or rowdy groups. Perfect for date or dinner with friends.

I loved the food, ambience, and location. So delicious! Just go! ;) Had the slow cooked farm egg with butter beans, shrimp and grits, and the peach and blueberry tartlet. It was great. From the unexpected addition of tarragon to the appetizer to the touch of tangy clover to the entree...to the refreshing berries in the dessert...my tastebuds smiled. ;)

I was really impressed with Vestige after eating there for dinner tonight. Being from Ocean Springs, it was nice to see a restaurant like this - there isn't another like it in town. It reminds me of other places I have dined at in bigger cities and at restaurants I've been to of world-renowned chefs. So, it's really fantastic to have a place like this nearby. We decided to stick with water tonight (it's so hot out!) but had a number of small plates to start. The soup of the day was almost like a deconstructed gazpacho that was incredibly refreshing and full of different bites of flavor and herbs. Very good. We also got the scallops - perfectly cooked and delicious - and the crab and corn, which was impeccably seasoned. I loved the sweet corn a lot. Not to mention the fresh bread and citrus butter, which really are the best I've had at a restaurant anywhere. For the meal, I got the duck confit which was delightful with it's coffee glaze and I loved it being on top of grits. The garnishes of squash, dried fruit, and bacon went perfectly with the duck, and the crispy skin was to die for. My companions had the pork chop (which was a lot of meat, but amazingly cooked and perfect with a side of grits or potatoes if you need a starch) and more scallops and the salad with fresh ricotta and oranges. For sides, I'd definitely recommend the grits (perfectly creamy and you can tell they are stone ground) or the potatoes, which (admittedly) I was originally disappointed with. They look like cubed hash browns / (was wanting creamy mashed potatoes) but they are the best I've ever had and not at all greasy as you may think. Finally (as if there were room) we shared desserts. We went with the chocolate coffee cake and, although chocolate isn't my thing, it was really creamy and very well done. I enjoyed the whipped cream on the side and the smoky bacon caramel. I much preferred the Arnold Palmer dessert because I could not get enough of the lemon semifreddo - it was so light and fluffy and full of the flavor you'd get out of a custard without the feeling of a brick in your stomach. The earl grey cakes were also perfectly moist and tasty, with a "caramel" topping that was not overly sweet and still had flavor. Definitely would recommend it! Overall, it's a great place to save up for (as my mom said). The service was not exceptionally fast, but I don't expect that at a restaurant like this. The servers were both friendly and came by to check on us often and refill water. The restaurant itself is simple and beautiful, and although small, it never feels crowded. I'd recommend coming with a couple people on your first trip to sample a number of dishes, but from what I tasted and saw other tables get, I don't know that you can choose poorly.

Vestige is a breath of fresh air for the coast. a rotating menu based on local farm fresh products, great ambiance, and stellar service & presentation. we split 3 apps and they were all delicious. the scallops with eggplant ravioli was divine. we also had the farm tomato salad and blue crab salad with corn & field peas. all three came out under $40. can't beat it i can't rave enough. i hope that other people realize the gem that OS has birthed with this place.

What a great little gem! The staff is super nice and knowledgable about the dishes AND where the food comes from. It's great eating at a place where even the waiter is excited about the food! The blue crab salad was chunks of awesome local blue crab and the sweet potato soup was silky delicious. Hubby and I both had the Panko breaded fish but he opted to have it on a bed of mashed potatoes instead on the blacked eyes peas and squash. The dessert was a cute mini mason jar of lemon custard. I'm so glad to have this farm-to-table restaurant here at home! Returned for a second visit! They were out of the chicken so substituted duck. Not a good choice. Lots of fat on a small duck breast. Not satisfying so I suggest sticking to the menu items! I tried the potato niocci which was very good. Wow! I got a reply on my review. Thank you for Vestige for taking the time to respond. What great customer service! :) We'll be back.

Had another amazing meal. For my starter Veal cheeks with grits. Main course was salmon ( which was cooked perfect) over braised cabbage with a mustard sauce.Absolutely perfect, paired with 2 delicious wines. I'm in a total food coma. You must eat here.

I write about food and photograph it for a living and Vestige has my vote as best in the state. From local produce, to innovative recipes, and spectacular plating, no other place compares. They do get busy and it is a small place, so plan accordingly.

Our favorite fine restaurant in the area. Compares well with Phoenicia and La Scala. The swordfish was the best I've ever had. Pricey, but worth it.

I, and three others, ate here last night and despite really 'wanting' to like it, probably will not return. SERVICE/DRINKS The service was odd. We sat for what seemed like a long time before being offered cocktails. The cocktails were terrible. Warm martinis that tasted like vermouth. My Manhattan wasn't much better. When we wanted to look at the cocktail menu to choose a second drink, we realized our waiter (who never introduced himself to us) had taken it to another table. Apparently, they have one cocktail menu on the floor. Ultimately, I asked for a bourbon with a branch. The waiter didn't know what a branch was and I informed him it was a river of water (less than a splash) and he pointed out that I had a glass of water on the table in front of me. APPETIZERS The braised chicken thigh was fantastic, as was the salad and scallops. Cornbread-encrusted pork was supposed to be served over field peas. It wasn't. It was served over English peas. A heads-up would have been nice. ENTREES The shrimp & grits with soft egg was a nice meal. The duck confit was also very nice, if a little overcooked. My friend who had the ribeye had nothing bad to say about it. My friend who ordered the pork chop was not pleased and it was easy to see why. It was a huge amount of meat with almost no accompaniment, No starch. No vegetable. No garnish to speak of. The menu said there was a puree, but it was not noticeable. She was very disappointed. Given the menu prices, I expected more and better. I really wanted this to be a place that my friends would frequent, but as if right now, I can't imagine returning any time soon. As another reviewer stated, it's not "quite there."

Every bite was amazing. We came in for our anniversary, it was my present. One of the best presents ever. We had the sweetbreads, crab and corn, steak cap, and duck confit. I am trying to pick a favorite and can't. I wish I could have had a bite of everything on the menu. Everything we ate had balanced flavors and textures. I told my husband he could give me dinner there any time for a present. The decor was peaceful and the staff very warm. The chef/owners have made this a dream place.

This place was phenomenal. The menu and the quality of food seems like something that you would find at a great New Orleans restaurant. My brother and I had veal cheek grillades and grits, and sweetbreads for appetizers. The main courses were a sous vide short rib and duck confit. Everything was delicious. The orange cake for dessert was also delicious.

Everything was excellent. The seasonal soup (an onion soup) was absolutely phenomenal. Scallops were prepared perfectly. No doubt the best food on the Gulf Coast.

I have eaten here a few times. Tonight we had the pork chops with bacon jam and sea bass. Apps were scallops and salad with bacon vinaigrette . Fabulous!! Thanks again for a light meal!

Vestige provides an amazing dining experience. The food is fresh and seasonally directed, presentation rivals some of the best places I've eaten in DC, and the flavors are perfectly balanced. The sweet potato soup was amazing, and I'll be back to grab more before it's out of season. Followed by the scallops and crab salad, both with fresh flavors, and perfectly cooked. For the main course I got the panko crusted redfish, and the flavor of the fish was perfectly balanced by the crust and sauce underneath, I'd have to say it was one of the best pieces of fish I've had. The owners are great with the wife running the front of the house and the husband is the head chef. He stopped by to check in with each table, a nice opportunity to thank him for a great meal. The only suggestion I have is for the server we had to slow down, and don't push the pace of the meal (asking what dessert I'd like (they're amazing too) while I was still enjoying my last bite of the main course). Thank you Vestige for a great dinner.

Yum! My husband and I ate here on a Saturday night, and it was incredible. My husband had the rib cap (steak) and I had the pork chop. Both were ridiculously delicious. (And the presentation was awesome too. I love food that looks good AND tastes good.) According to the manager, the menu will be changing every few weeks (because most of the food is from local farms!), so I can't wait to go back and see what else will be offered.

Just had a fantastic meal to go. It lasted in the boxes for an hour before I was able to eat it and the tile fish had a wonderful light crispy crust that endured the ride. The tomato and okra side was really tasty. I would definitely go back!
